hello ladies
SORRY SORRY for tmi- but I have a question on pregnancy discharge....this IS my second pregnancy but I just don't recall discharge before.. I have had a few scares over last weeks- and last Thurs had scan and so far, all ok. But, yesterday some dark yellow discharge has started- no odour. Almost a pale brown, but not necessarily old blood- but mostly can describe as very dark yellow. Can anyone shed any light on this? Obviously I am expecting the worst....I am over 7 weeks now and don't know how I will get through the weeks without worrying myself silly..........
thank you all.

I had similar all through both my pregnacies. Try to stay calm, all sounds ok to me. If you are worried, maybe you should see the gp?

yes, think i will tomorrow although she is like a robot.......i can but try. i did have vaginal ultrasound a couple of days ago, and with smears and other things, I often spot after, but this is not spotting, it is just strange discharge. May be start of bad stuff I guess. Not normal. Haven't even had sex. Not itchy either. A mystery. thanks for answer somemightsay....Anyone else?

How far gone are you? I had this between approx 26-30 weeks in this (2nd) pregnancy. Midwife said as long as no smell or itching then nothing to worry about.

had this discharge all through third pregnancy... very dark yellow.. sometimes wonderin if a bit green or browny.. doc diagnosed it as thrush even though no itching. Apparently its not unusual. Thrush does no harm to you or baby just annoying. Good luck, hope all is okay...but I was you at 7 weeks and I'm now 39 weeks now

I 've had pessary treatments for it but its back again days later eben though myself and partner both treated ( not that sex is high on our list of to do's with two others under 5 as well!! lol) Good luck x

my friend is 11 weeks pregnant and is wondering if having a clear jelly like discharge is normal? shes had it twice, once in a big blob, and 2nd time it was hanging from her (tmi i know, sorry!) when she was on the toilet. it doesnt smell.

i told her how great this website is but as she doesnt have internet i told her i'd ask.
(poor her, i love it )

looking again for anyone who knows about this 'jelly-like' discharge??

Any 'jelly loss' discoloured especially, get a swab done immediately ladies! Rule out infection first, then consider it 'normal'. I'm one of the 'unusual, unfortunate few' that didn't push and bug hard enough. My jelly arrived after my aggressive and painful 20 week scan. Please, please don't let any medical professional tell you it's 'normal'. My midwife, the hospital midwife and 2 consultants told me it was 'normal'. Then when I had a ruptured membrane and lost all my amniotic fluid after 4 days of jelly loss a different hospital midwife took a swab and found a little infection. Too late to save my 21 week unborn. 1 week to the day later I had a prolapsed umbilical cord and had to have labour induced. That was one week ago today.
I don't want to frighten one single pregnant lady and yes I was one of the tiny few that this happens to, but this jelly seems to be a bit of problem when it comes to getting medical professionals to pay attention to it.Mine wasn't green or dark brown or smelled in any way. There was just a lot of it with a slight yellowish colour.
The amniotic fluid loss was devastating but my consultant had a plan. I was put on antibiotics and she was going to try amniotic transfusion (not even attempted in most hospitals) at 22 weeks and pump me with steroids from 24 weeks to help the baby's lungs develope. I would try anything even though it had less than a 5% chance. Sadly and devastatingly, we didn't get that far. Our beautiful daughter was born at just 21 weeks and only 11oz. She was our 3rd miscarriage and we really thought we'd got far enough in this pregnancy to get a little happy this time and breathe a sigh of relief at getting halfway there.
We so desperately would like a family, I'm 41 and time is running out. So much for putting career first!
Also, why do we have to wait until we have 3 miscarriages until we receive 'specialist care' which so far means a few more blood tests??
Sorry, I'm venting...because crying for the last two weeks just isn't getting us anywhere.
God bless all the little babies lost to miscarriage...
