Hi everyone,

I've had two missed miscarriages, and am now pregnant again for the 4th time (I have a little girl already.) I am only 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant, but am feeling quite alot of weird sensations in my abdomen and am panicing.

I felt very very strong period paind 3 days before my period was due. So bad that I was absolutely convinced I was about to have the worst period on record... but it never came. I also had period pains when pregnant with DD but not to the same extent which is why I'm worried.

Then, a couple of evenings since, when I've been lying in bed I've felt some fairly sharp tugs and twinges that are quite uncomfortable.

Does this all sounds horribly bad? I'm wondering if it's all over already?

(Prior to my 2 miscarriages I was NEVER this paranoid! I just am finding it impossible to believe that this time it might be for real.)

MSrry this is so depressing. I just want to believe it might be okay but am having trouble.

Also - I've been on antibiotics for cystitus - do you think the symptoms might that the cystitus isn't entirely gone, and nothing to do with pregnancy?

Thanks so much for reading my rather epic worries!

It sounds like the ligaments stretching i.e. hormone levels are high and doing the right thing! It's only cramping like period pains that would worry me - and even those are common in successful early pregnancy.

Good luck.

Thanks Picante.I think I am going to be able to get an early scan this time due to the circumstances of the 2 miscarriages, but 7 weeks is alot of worrying away! Thanks for your reassurance.

Congratulations! It sounds VERY familiar ! I'm 7 weeks pg after 3 mcs in 18 months (1 missed, 2 bleeds) and the agonising over every twinge, tweak, cramp and trip to the loo is ludicrous. I've got horrible constipation which is adding to the twinges and the period-like pains have only just settled down.

I'm afraid that nothing can stop you worrying, especially when you've had a missed mc, but pains and cramps are very normal and I have to keep reminding myself that I also felt then with ds.

Are you having an early scan this time?

Sorry, you'd answered the scan bit - preggie brain already .

Hi Funtimewincies, and congratulations to you too! Thanks for your post. I agree - nothing is going to make it any easier. I am running to the toilet constantly if ever I feel a little... hmmmm... moist!! in a mad panic that it's blood. Oh dear! I wish I could relax, but because my first missed miscarriage went to 12 weeks and everything seemed absolutely great (I had huge morning sickness and all the signs that everything was good) I feel I can't trust my body anymore.

I guess ultimately though, I don't have any choice but to try.

Good luck for your pregnancy this time. Have you gone further at 7 weeks than the three lost pregnancies?

PS have you had a scan already funtimewincies?

I'm afraid that my scanning dept. have interpreted the mw's request for an early scan as 10 weeks (i.e. a dating scan). I've phoned but they 'simply can't fit me in' before then. Added to the stress that dh is abroad with work straight after the scan so if anything is wrong I'll have to deal with it alone and have a toddler to look after as well.

EPAU is only accessible here through a mw referral if you're actually bleeding/miscarrying, so I'll just have grin and bear it .

I had the same with my missed mc, loads of sickness and it was a huge shock.

Lol running to the loo, very familiar !
