Since about 16-17 weeks I've been able to feel a little 'bubble-popping' feeling inside me on and off through the day. I'm now 19 weeks but today I don't feel anything. Should this still be coming and going at this stage? I can't see my mw because we've just changed countries and I don't have a mw appt. for two weeks, mainly because of easter.
Last listened to the heartbeat last week - gynae said all fine.

Bit worried.

Hi,
I'm in my 22nd week and have been able to feel some movements since about 18 weeks. That first week I could feel very definite sensations every single day, but now what I feel varies on a day to day basis and some days do seem to be really quiet. I can only really feel movements when I'm sitting down (and usually a bit hunched up to be honest - Not that I'm recommending hunching!) so I think it must depend on our position as well as the baby's position. I also read that babies become more active when when we are at rest - have you been busy today?

didn't want you to go unanswered
from about 16 - 22 weeks I had little wiggles on and off and baby still has quieter days.
I think it should be OK BUT if the pattern is totally diff to every day before you should maybe get checked out?
You don't say what country you are in but I am sure there will be access to a check somewhere - esp if you go today before the weekend?
hope you feel some more bubbles soon

Yeah I'm 21 weeks and hunching works well if you want to feel movement- really squash it, it'll soon come back kicking

brettgirl2 · 03/04/2009 11:22

I had no movement the day of my 20 week scan and remember feeling a little bit worried. As it turned out the baby was kind of curled up (to the great annoyance of the scan woman) so it was because of the position.

I also found around this time that if my stomach was bloated for whatever reason I also couldn't feel movement.

If you are worried though then get someone to find HB to check lo is OK.

Although first you could try drinking a can of ice cold coke and then lying on your back.

suwoo · 03/04/2009 11:27

And doesn't something sweet work too?

peachyfox · 03/04/2009 11:31

Thanks so much for your input. I suppose I could go to the dr but would have to wait hours. I've refrained from getting a doppler because I'm so prone to getting in a tiz - I thought it might make me worse if I couldn't find it for some reason.
I agree about the position thing - and I suppose in the past the pattern has been quiet for hours followed by lots of movement.

Does the worrying ever end...

Thanks for all that posted on this thread. My wiggle is back!

Must add that following your wise advice I drank a cold coke and ate an enormous chocolate eclair. It didn't work, but it sure did taste good Xmas Grin
