Aaaah, I need help.

Today, I have eaten:

a big bowl of porridge
an apple
two slices of rye bread and two eggs
a big bowl of popcorn
a massive carrot and a pot of hoummous
two slices of cheese on toast
a pot of yoghurt

It's only 4.30 PM.

...and, I'm still starving. I can't wait for DH to come home so we can start cooking dinner.

All the while I can't even think about ginger, I had to throw away a pot of crystallised ginger as I gagged every time I saw it. I've also had to call DH and beg him to buy a different brand of toothpaste as the one we have currently makes me heave.

Why oh why don't pregnant women get Statutory Pregnancy Pay to help with the cost of eating like a maniac?

Anyone else out there with similar levels of craziness?

I'm eating like Elvis! Sugary refined crap like cornflakes that normally I wouldn't have in the house.

I normally eat pretty well, and was full of good intentions when I got pg - but it's gone completely out of the window.

Early on in pg, I felt sick whenever I got hungry, so had an excuse to graze non-stop throughout the day. Nausea's long gone, but I'm still eating!

Trikken · 01/04/2009 13:47

are cornflakes bad for you? i always thought they were one of the better cereals out there.

LaraT · 01/04/2009 21:17

cornflakes are full of sugar and have nearly no fibre - thats why i like them

i am envious, normally i eat like a horse, but at the moment i cant stomach anything before 11 o clock in the morning

happily muching on white bread and houmous right now though

Ceolas · 01/04/2009 22:58

Last couple of days the indigestion has set in. Cruel!

NewbieMTB · 02/04/2009 10:56

All I can think about is food...........

Trikken · 02/04/2009 12:41

ooh thanks for the info, i always thought they were good for you, maybe i'd better switch to bran flakes or something, my morning sickness is getting worse so making it harder to eat but gotta try.

YanknbeforetheCockcrows · 02/04/2009 14:25

bloody bran flakes....just spewed those all over the place after a misguided attempt to sort out my constipation!

I am TRYING to eat better, why does this baby hate me????

suwoo · 03/04/2009 16:25

I've mastered it!! I have cut out the shit!

I am going to a family wedding 4 weeks before I deliver and have bought the dress already and I need to look as fab in it in June as I do now .

going back to my normal diet of unprocessed foods like pasta, noodles, lentils and chick peas etc has given me way more energy and my bump has shrunk to next to nothing overnight- bonus!

Only taken me 22 weeks to do it

hormonecrazy · 05/04/2009 21:44

OMG I feel huge - 33 weeks and thought I was doing well but just feel fat and horrible and now starting to worry about losing it afterwards - put on 5.5 stone with first - nowhere near that much this time but scared to weigh myself and just wanna be slim again - not gonna ever be skinny but slim would be nice.....or am I just feeling down today......can't believe how up and down I have felt this time round - was totally loving being pregnant last time but this time just feel crazy....is it pregnant depression......have never written on one of these things before....

Baisey · 06/04/2009 15:48

Im only 4 weeks pregnant and im constantly hungry, it wasnt like this first time round. I feel like I am experiencing every early pregnancy symptom this time round wheres last time I only knew I was pregnant becaue of the bump...

Hey ho they say every pregnancy is different (she says whilst reaching for the mini cheddars)

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 06/04/2009 18:58

I am 12 weeks but was ravenous from week 1. MS has worn off a bit. Started off only wanting to eat fruit and now craving random stuff like risotto, cheese and pickle sandwiches. I think the health side of the food has been sliding as I am eating more rubbish now.

Am fancying carbonara tonight. Do you think it will be OK?
