hi - sorry I have no idea, but didn't want to leave it unanswered!

bumping it for you

what did the mw say?

I was just told that they'd know more at my 36 week scan. But it was one of those situations where I immediately thought of loads of questions after I'd left. Placenta brain lol.

hi mine was grade 2 at 34 weeks and then at 36 weeks it had moved out of the way and we had lovely home birth 2 weeks ago. if it hadn't moved they would have booked elective c-section for around 38 weeks which wouldn't have been so bad. i prepared myself for both eventualities - wrote 2 birth plans etc - which made me feel better. there are some guidelines about PP on the RCOG website which are worth having a look at.

HTH sorry if it doesn't answer original question! lots of luck x

I'm out the other side and yes it was hellish. grade 3 diagnosed at 26wks with bleed; signed off work and told to rest. bleed at 33wks, diagnosed at grade 4 and told to stay put in hospital. being away from the family, 2 young dds was hell and not something we had prepared for. cs was booked for 38wks but had bleed at 35wks and cs performed as bleeding didn't stop. eventually left hospital after a 4week stay and had to leave ds in scbu for another 4days. took at least another 3mths to recover (physically same as any cs but emotionally a lot longer), particularly hit my youngest dd and she is still quite traumatised 28wks on.

mine moved between 34 and 36 weeks. (think it was also grade 3).

Thank you for all the information. Twinklytoes - poor you. It sounds like you've had a terrible time. I hope your daughter feels better soon and that your new baby is well.
It sounds like I just have to keep my fingers (and legs!) crossed until 36 weeks when they'll scan me again and know more. There's obviously no obvious outcome at the moment. Hopefully I won't bleed and be away from DD.
x

Hello yessir, just to say I've just updated my thread on a similar topic, I can't do links but it is called 'major placenta previa'. Mine is grade 4 but I wanted to tell you to be prepared, if possible, as I didn't realy believe I would end up in hospital, but here I am! And it's not the end of the world. Take care and I hope you have better luck than me!
