Just wondering how long the queue will be

Are you sure they open on a Saturday?
With some of them you would have to go to A&E and wait for the on-call gynae on the weekends...

MrsHappy · 20/03/2009 20:10

I stand corrected - the Association of Early Pregnancy Units thinks they open from 8:30 on Sat. I would get there a bit early if I were you. Often these clinics are pretty busy but they can be great at getting people through too...

Lots of luck - I hope you get the result you want.

HeadFairy · 20/03/2009 20:12

I've been there on a normal week day and 8.30 is the latest you should get there really. I'd say 8-8.15 is better. Good luck

EldonAve · 20/03/2009 20:24

Thanks everyone

The sign on the door says it's open 8.30 Saturday

I went on a weekday in last pg and at 8.30 there were almost 20 people ahead of me

Yes I've been there 4 times in this pg. Get there about 8am if you can. Mind you, I was there last week for an antenatal appt at 9.30 and was surprised how empty it was. Other times it has been very busy at 9am.

ladylush · 21/03/2009 09:30

And I cannot praise them highly enough Isn't it fantastic that you can self refer - and on a Saturday too

EldonAve · 21/03/2009 09:54

Thanks ladylush - I couldn't face it this morning so stayed at home

EldonAve · 26/03/2009 20:53

Thanks folks, I managed to get an ERPC privately today rather than wait for the NHS op on Monday

GP has said he will now refer me to the recurrent mc clinic despite only having 2 mmc

How are you Eldon? Glad your GP has referred you for investigations. Even if they don't find anything (as in my case) it helps to have something to focus on.

EldonAve · 28/03/2009 17:53

Doing okay thanks ladylush

Hoping it wasn't my thyroid but can't remember when it was last checked

I have namechanged since my last mc - I was t h e b l o n d e

Glad you are doing ok. Yes I remember you as theblonde. I suppose it's hard to know whether the underactive thyroid could have caused it, but my endo said women with underactive thyroid who are ttc should have a TSH as close to 1 as possible. I suppose the main thing is to get it checked before you try again and then have it monitored regularly when you conceive. They usually increase it by 25-50mcg in the first trimester.
