Where can i buy Raspberry Leaf Tea

Just looked in my local (small) tesco and they didn't have it. Will i find it in the baby/maternity bit of a large tesco or is it a more specialised thing that i would get in a chemist or health food shop?

Also does Raspberry tea do the same job as Raspberry leaf tea? Could i just get that instead?

Holland and Barrett and it needs to be raspberry leaf tea.

Got mine from Holland & Barrett. Needs to be raspberry leaf. Comes in tea bags. Not supposed to take it till you're 36 weeks, and then 3 cups a day. I think you can also get tablets (not sure where from) if you don't like the flavour.

Yeah it has to be raspberry leaf tea. They also do it in tablet form which I found easier to take (didn't like the taste of the tea).

I got mine from a local herbalist shop. He advised me when to take it and how many.

Keep taking it for a week or two after the birth as it helps the uterus contract back down into place.

I am taking the tablets - got them in a health food shop.

Good luck finding the tablets. H&B and other health food shops seem to have run out in my area and can't get anymore for love or money!

shell96 · 17/03/2009 14:56

Thanks everyone! I think there may be a H&B in my town so will look there and see if they have any of the tablets. I dont really fancy the tea ( i don't even like normal tea) and my friend said she tried it and it was horrible!

I'm 35 weeks so just getting organised!

Is there anyone who can testify to RLT actually working?

I drank it like it was going out of fashion with both my DC's and was induced with both

nuttygirl · 17/03/2009 16:12

Sycamoretree - the RLT won't start labour (and therefore won't stop you going overdue) they just make your contractions more effective so you should have a shorter labour/pushing stage. I know I had a very quick labour. I also found that my uterus contracted back down well after giving birth and the RLT helps with that.

No tablets in my local holland and barrart either so im stuck with the tea until i find it.

WowOoo · 17/03/2009 16:27

No idea if it helped me, but will be drinking loads of the stuff again soon...I want to believe in it's powers! (had v long and slow labour with 1st though!!)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/03/2009 17:06

Apparently there is a national shortage of RLT tabs in Holland and Barratt. I was lucky that a friend of mine found me the last jar last week.

The tea is revolting.... but might be ok if you like that kind of thing !

Good luck.!
