Pud Am not a doctor type person, but it sounds as if you might have had cramp and bruised the muscle?

Just wondering if there's any herbal type rub that you can use to ty and ease the muscle out? Not sure whether pg ladies can use Ralgex or Deep Haet.

Ooo, actually, what about Tiger Balm? get thee down to Boots and ask pharmacist.

Or maybe just a warm bath with some lavendar oil might do the trick?

Hope your pain in the arse goes away soon .

Could be a bit of pelvic girdle pain. Most people complain of deep ache - usually in right buttock - which worsens on movement. Quite common in pregnancy. Things such as not overdoing it, sleeping with pillow between knees should help. If things get really bad - a physio can be really helpful. Ultimately a dose of childbirth will sort you out!

I had that when I had pelvic girdle pain. If it is PGP, keeping your pelvis in line is important, there's a good web page on babyworld.co.uk, search for pelvic girdle pain or protecting your back and pelvis. I personally wouldn't wait for it to get bad to see a physio - they can give you exercises to help and addressing it earlier will be better for you in the long run.

Anyway, hope that it improves soon

I've got this in both cheeks! (am 26 weeks). Man, it's really painful. Am seeing the midwife on friday so will ask her and let you know, unless you find out first of course . My mum thought it was the baby lying on the sciatic(?) nerve but I'm not sure.....
