How much should I charge for stuff at a NCT nearly new sale?

I am selling stuff at an NCT sale next month and I've never been to one before so I've no idea how much to ask for things.

In particular I have a number of new baby outfits which still have tags, and maternity clothes that have hardly been worn. Can anyone give any guidance please?

Don't you get a list of guide prices from the organisers? We did.
The prices seemed quite low though so I stuck the bnwt stuff on ebay and took the rest to the dress agency. Got much better prices than the nct sales guie prices.

(if you have bnwt baby clothes then save them to give as pressies when other people have babies!)

IME Maternity clothes can sell well, but Baby Clothes, although they sell there are racks and racks of them, all in great condition,so you may be lucky, but there are still loads left after. They don't sell for much maybe 25%-30% of the original price.

No, didn't get price list but would rather keep stuff to give as presents than sell for a pittance. Just worried about giving present back to the person who gave it in first place!

At our NCT sales neither baby outfits nor maternity stuff goes well. If you could be bothered with the faff you will get much more for it on E-bay particularly if you sell it in bundles.

Toys and books go really well though,we got rid of loads of spare stuff.

I went to one last weekend and paid

About £1 each for a number of T shirts (1 yr)
£2 for a pair 9 month Osh Kosh shortie dungarees
£15 for a "old fashioned" travel cot (not the tent type)
£10 for an all in one waterproof suit & overshoes.
About 50p each for kiddy books
About £2 each for small soft toys.
About £3 for a V Tech talking catterpillar thing.

I help out at and also sell at NCT sales. Pricing depends to an extent on the sale type - some are "tabletop" where you pay a flat fee and sell your own stuff and some are "ticket" where you price up your stuff and leave it and a percentage goes to NCT. If the former, you can be flexible on the day, ie reduce prices on things that aren't selling.

I would second what others have said about new baby stuff - there is a LOT of it and most of it is in very good condition. If there is any premium branded stuff (eg Oilily, Petit Bateau) you usually get better prices on ebay BUT IME you get messed around more by buyers of baby stuff than any other category I have sold in.

Maternity stuff - put it on hangers, state original price and brand if it's something good (eg Formes, Isabella Oliver) and price it cheap. Even then I think I only sold about 20% of the mat stuff I put in the last sale.

At the sales I participate in, the things that sell best are equipment in good condition, toys ditto, clothes for boys aged 1+ and things like grobags, coats etc that are expensive to buy.
