If you are having an elective caesarean, should you still be doing pelvic floor exercises?

Apparently yes - as the weight of the baby has an effect on your pelvic floor, even if the baby doesn't make it's appearance that way.

Yes, definitely. I had a bit of 'leakage' after DC1 (born by c-section). He was a big baby . Intensive PVE's sorted it out. Did them all the way through pregnancy and afterwards with second baby and have had no problems at all (also elective caesarean.

Yes. after I'd had dd by c-sec the MWs were telling me not to forget my pelvic floor exercises and I asked if it was necessary given I'd had a c-sec and they said yes due to carrying the weight (and dd was only 4 lbs 9oz so I didn't even carry that much weight !).
