10 week "bump" in wrong place. Ectopic?

In my previous two pregnancies, around the 10 week mark I have been able to feel a "bump" first thing in the morning (when my bladder is full and abdomen otherwise relaxed). It has always been in the right place before - right above my pubic bone. Now, for the last few mornings, I have felt exactly the same type of "bump", but much higher and off to the left. It is clearly in the wrong place.

Firstly, has anyone else been able to feel their "bump" in the same way? Btw, it disappears immediately when I get out of bed, I guess as I tense my tummy muscles.

Secondly, assuming I am not confusing this with my large intestine or something (Biology was not my chosen subject), could this be indicative of an ectopic in the absence of any other symptoms?

The reason an ectopic is on my mind is that I took the morning after pill within 12 hours and still got pg, and I know that the map does not prevent ectopics.

Any similar experiences please?

It's possible that your previous pregnancies have altered the shape of your uterus as it stretches. Pop and see your GP though.

My understanding is that with an ectopic you would be in hideous pain should the pregnancy have reached 10 weeks. But I am not medically qualified.

I would go and see your GP just to be reassured.

I don't reckon it is your uterus - probably your bowel or something.

You could be right! I have my booking appointment tomorrow anyway so hopefully all will become clear. Thanks.

How did you get on at your booking in appointment? I hope you got some reassurance.

Could you have a hernia? Agree that an ectopic sounds v v v unlikely as you would be in agony, if it hadn't ruptured already.

If you stimulate an orgasm (I sure you can use your imagination here!) with your hand over the 'bump' it should go hard as you climax. Then you will know for sure if it is baby bump or bowel bump.
