I am having my baby in three months at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Has anyone got anything to report on this hospital from previous experience.
Fairly worried about all the negative publicity it has had as a result of Leslie Ash.

Had DS at C&W and will have #2 at Queen Charlotte's (and yes, my consultant is Fisk - haven't met him yet, though, and am now terrified to). AT C&W I found the ante-natal care to be good and they were very good during the birth. As others have mentioned, the care on the post-natal ward left a lot to be desired - I had no help with b/f and the ward was larger than I would have liked (8 beds off the corridor). The midwifes who visited me at home afterwards were very nice and attentive, though.

I think I will stick with C & W as the antenatal care so far has been very good. Has anyone had experience of the birthing pools there? This will be my first baby and lots of people say that getting in a birthing pool for at least the second stage of labour is meant to be great as far as pain relief is considered. Has anyone got anything to say about water births, as I am eager to learn more.
