Due to a slight bleed the other night i had an internal examination yesterday at the hospital and they said all was ok, def still pregnant, bleed was probably due to possible vaginal infection but baby as far as they could tell was ok. Had emergency scan today which showed the sack just contained fluid, no baby so def no heartbeat and only measured 5 weeks however last period was 3rd Jan 09 and baby was conceived 16th jan so know 100% without a doubt we should be 8 weeks. So now I just have to wait to miscarry. Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

In my case the cramps really stepped up after about a week and they got really bad a few hours before I passed some tissue of some sort which was accompanied by some serious bleeding.

When the were at their worst I took brufen and paracetomol. Sorry if TMI but I do advise you to make sure you have plenty of painkillers and fairly heavy duty pads.

Millie, how are you doing? Did you get you blood results? Can't believe you had to phone your gp. I had mine done at the hosp about 10am and was able to ring them that afternoon at 3pm for the result.
Had them done again on Friday and they were down from 100,000 to 89,000. They've booked me in for a scan for Thurs when I'll be 9+2. I think it must be to double check on things before making decisions... and if I've still not started bleeding by then (still not a hint of blood yet) I will ask for an ERPC asap. I had one 3 years ago when I had a missed miscarriage discovered at 12 weeks and the baby had died at 10 weeks. It was fine and very straight forward and enabled me to get over the worst of the m/c (emotionally and physically) fairly quickly. We ttcd again after my 1st af 4 weeks later and I fell preg again only to lose it within a few days of getting my bfp. I then fell pregnant the following month too... which resulted in my beautiful twin boys.
So I have lots of hope yet!

My hospital said they're not allowed to give out the results and when I was there they also said they'll take about 3 days. I've got a routine appt with my midwife this aft so I'll hopefully find out some info then although she probably doesn't even know yet so it'll probably be me telling her everything. I had some blood yesterday on and off throughout the day but still nothing anywhere near what I'm expecting. I'll let you know what happens this aft. I'm still not comfortable with the idea of ERPC but I suppose it depends how long it goes on for, maybe a little bit of me is thinking the scan (on 20th march) will show nothing and I won't need anything, wishful thinking, we'll see.... xx

Iam Manju.
Last week i had went for the scanning before scanning i had slight bleeding, and now in the sacnning it says half abortion has happened. and also it said that the yoke is not found. kindly suggest me regarding this. now the doctor is suggesting to go for complete abortion no use of giving birth to the baby.
If any one can explain me about this yoke. is it danger.

Milliemuffin,

I had an MC at 6 weeks on the 1st August last year. My MC lasted about a week from beginning to end but the bleeding never got particularly heavy, not even AF type heavy.

I started BDing again as soon as the bleeding stopped, because like others on here, I'd been told that you can be at your most fertile as some of the PG hormones are still present for about 3 months after a MC. 6 weeks later I was PG again and I'm 27 weeks PG tomorrow.

So, what I'm trying to say is, you may not get really heavy bleeding, it may just be light bleeding but over a longer period. Once you have stopped bleeding and you are ready, you can try again and hopefully you will be PG again quickly. Like you, the first PG happened in the first month of trying. I almost wonder if this is all just your body preparing itself... Even though that may sound harsh...

I hope that you are feeling Ok and that you can get some resolution to this soon.

DawnAS - I'm not used to the lingo on chat forums but what does BDing mean? I'm guessing whatever it is it means you started trying as soon as the bleeding stopped? Congrats on your pregnancy, you've actually made me feel better tonight, brought a little smile to my face :-) Little messages can go a long way, thankyou xx

Manju - I don't know much about the yoke, this is all new to me aswell but all i can say is sorry you're going through this aswell. If you're worried about anything it's probably best you discuss things with your doctor. Hope you get the answers you're looking for, I certainly have. xx

Millie... bding is baby dancing (sex) )

Well, its all over for me now. Had another scan today (I'm 9+1) and it was no different to the one 8 days ago. Still no sign of blood. My consultant is very concerned that I had such high hcg levels last week considering there wasn't much to see on the scan and I'm in at 7am tomorrow morning for the ERPC. The tissues are being sent for analysis as he is worried I may have a molar pregnancy

Milliemuffin · 12/03/2009 11:45

Hi Summer, how did you get on at the hospital?? I've got REALLY strong cramping today and have quite a bit of bleeding so this is definitely more like what i was expecting. At the moment its bareable but if it gets much worse I might have to ring someone.

Hi ladies, i've just passed the sac. i've put it in a sample bottle as i've read they can do tests on it? is it worth taking to the hospital or should i just bin it? also is it worth me going in aswell? i feel ok. xx

Millie - is this your first mc? If it is then I doubt whether any tests will be carried out?

Milliemuffin · 12/03/2009 21:53

You're right, i rang the hospital and they said as it's my first they wouldn't usually send it off.

Ok, my new question is... how long after a miscarriage did people get their first AF? i know it probably varies but i'm still interested. xx

Depends - mine was 5 weeks and 4 days - thought I might be pregnant again by the time the little blighter turned up

summer1971 · 27/03/2009 16:43

Hi Millie, sorry I haven't replied earlier. How are you doing now?
Everything went fine at the hosp 2 weeks ago and the tissues were analysed and there was no sign of any molar activity which is great news. My cons is sending me an appt for a few weeks time to see him to discuss testing to find an underlying reason for my (4) miscarriages.
Hoping af will turn up a couple of weeks from now which will be 4 weeks from the op which is how it worked out last time I had the erpc at 12 weeks.
Onwards and upwards! xxxxx

Milliemuffin · 06/05/2009 21:37

Hi Summer, I'm sorry, I've only just seen your post from march! Well I had my miscarriage on 12th march, had a scan on 20th march to say everything had gone and womb was back to normal. We BD'd on 1st and 23rd April with a slight bleed on 9th April and today I had a BFP so i'm wondering did I conceive on 1st or 23rd April? 1st seems a bit quick after the mc but the line on the test is really bold and I'm not due til tomorrow so was half expecting it to be negative. How did you get on with your cons?

Just read through your posts, congratulations millie, really got fingers and toes crossed for you........sounds like the bleed on 9th could have been implantation?

ladylush · 06/05/2009 22:05

Congrats millie I had a blighted ovum pregnancy as well and went on to conceive the very next cycle. Fingers crossed for you

summer1971 · 15/05/2009 12:41

Wow congratulations Millie, thats fab news. Hope all going OK still?
I've got to wait 'til all test results back before trying again. Had bloods done nearly 2 wks ago for hormonal stuff (thyroid and couple of others) and I'm waiting for an appt in the haematology dept for tests for sticky blood syndrome type stuff. Thos are going to take 2-3 months to come back apparently!! The waiting is agony, just want to get on with it. Cons has said even if nothing shows up, next time I get a bfp he'll prescribe daily aspirin and also progesterone pessaries for 13 weeks.
Let us know how you're doing. I have my fingers crossed all will be well
x

Milliemuffin · 15/05/2009 21:04

Hi ladies, today I booked my private scan for the end of may by which time i'll (hopefully!) be either 7 or 10 weeks so fingers crossed will be able to see something. Have been having tummy pains but feels like stretching pains so I'm not too worried. We're off on holiday with the in-laws on 1st June so I really wanted to know before we went. If it's good then I can enjoy the holiday and if it's bad then I can use the holiday to take my mind off it and spend some quality time with my man and 22month old adorable gorgeous beautiful boy xx
