mine was v long
they did follow every little bit and tbh there were parts where i could have done with being more flexible - but basically it was as for previous poster a million miles away from ds1's birth
LABOUR
I have had pelvic problems during this pregnancy, and would like advice and information about delivery positions to minimise SPD problems. I want everyone attending the birth to be aware of SPD issues and the possible implications for labour, delivery, and postnatally.
I want to be able to labour at home for as long as I like. I may wish to deliver at home if all is going smoothly.
I would like my partner, A, and doula, S, to be present. I may want my ds1 to be present for any parts of the birth that seem appropriate.
I would like help to remain in upright positions in hopes of a more comfortable and effective labour.
I would like encouragement and suggestions if I find myself struggling.
I would prefer to avoid internal examinations as much as possible.
PAIN RELIEF
I would like gas and air to be available from as early on in labour as I want it.
I would like to avoid an epidural if at all possible.
I would like to avoid use of pethidine.
POSSIBLE INTERVENTIONS
I want to be consulted and given choices about all interventions, wherever possible
I would like to avoid being induced.
I prefer not to have EFM.
I prefer not to have my waters broken.
I want to avoid a forceps delivery if at all possible.
I am concerned about episiotomy / tearing, following difficult recovery from episiotomy after previous birth.
BIRTH
I want to see the sex of the baby myself rather than have someone tell me.
I would like to hold and feed the baby straight away before it is cleaned up and measured etc.
AFTERWARDS
I would like the cord not to be cut until it has finished pulsing.
I would like a natural 3rd stage if this is practical - at any rate please don't offer injection until cord has finished pulsating.
I would like to discuss Vitamin K and may choose to have it administered by mouth.
