Hello all,
I couldn't face faffing with a name change so would those who know me in RL please pretend not to have seen this? I haven't told anyone about the pregnancy yet.

I'm 7 weeks preggers and have had period pains since last week. I have been bleeding lightly since saturday morning, still bleeding now. Not as heavy as a period and no clots of icky stuff, just blood. And (TMI, sorry) it may not just be blood if you get me - it could be blood colouring pregnancy discharge.
I went to see the doctor today, a v. dour old bloke who refused to comment on much but booked me for a scan tomorrow avo.

This is my second pregnancy but I had nothing like this before. Am I miscarrying? It's too late for implantation bleed, I haven't just been shagging and I wasn't due on. I would have thought that I'd be seeing more matter by now if I were losing the baby, not just a little blood. But I do have dragging period pains.

Arrrgggghhhh, it's so stressful. What does everyone think?

It is awful Charba - I dreaded going to the toilet and it was on my mind all the time. In the end I came to the conclusion after about 4 weeks that if I was going to miscarry then I would have.

Hiya! Thanx for the replys and hope all okay.

I do feel better when reading success stories,I'm just going to try and be more positive. There's been no blood all night or this morning which is good. But I did notice that I didn't get up for the loo in the night which I have been for the last few weeks. You hear other stories that some ppl don't feel pg anymore and I keep thinking all my signs aren't there anymore.

I'm prob being too paranoid! sori

I've been stuck in for nearly 3 days now. Is it okay for me to go out today or do I really have to stick to the bed as they say?

Tried looking for some dopplers but they only seem to sell them on the net and not on the high st.

So glad I joined this site, only 1 night and I feel better!

Hi Charba - I kinda think that if you can't live a careful life in early pg (ie potter about in town or something) without threatening mc, then its not right, y'know?

I really hope you are ok and that your bean sticks I know how scary this all is xx

Tippy My thoughts are with you. I noticed you have not been back on since beginning of the week. Be strong & we're here when you're ready to write again...but do let us know how you are

Charba - I agree with Scorpio. No evidence that bed rest etc. improves pregnancy outcome. I took it easy when I had heavier bleeding simply because activity seemed to make it heavier (not because I though it'd cause m/c)but the EPU were really blase about it and said I could continue all my usual activities. I did stop going to the gym though - and no sex either. Have a feeling bleeding is stopping now. Might go swimming tomorrow Btw, yes you probably need to get dopplers online. I bought angelsounds which cost about £30 - first detected hb at 12+4 but it got clearer each week and is very clear now at 14+3.

Charba I'm not sure the bladder thing means anything, because at some point your uterus moves out of the way of it anyway. I had frequent peeing right at the start (and now at 37 weeks the frequency is ridiculous lol) BUT it wasn't for the whole of the pg.

I was told to take it easy by GP and EPU told me to sensibly go about day to day business. I did notice though that if I did more, like walking further that usual it did make me bleed more.
