Feeling faint and woozy - normal?

I've been feeling on and off today like I might faint and now I'm at home sitting down I feel as if I'm tipsy. I never had this in my previous pregnancy and I'm wondering if I should contact my midwife or forget about it. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and as far as I know everything's normal. Any advice would be appreciated!

Is it the same whatever position you're in? (sitting/ standing / lying?)

I'd call your mw. It sounds like you need tohave your blood pressure checked (and while they're at it they may as well check your urine and blood sugar)

So far I've had it sitting and standing but not constantly. I think I'll go to bed and call my midwife tomorrow if I still don't feel right. Thanks!

Do you normally have low blood pressure? I had this up until about 30 weeks. Was fine if I was on the move or lying down but if I stopped doing stuff and then stood about then I was a gonna! Had to always keep moving and jiggling my legs about! Have very low pressure though so would def get it checked out.

I'm 15 weeks and have been dizzy a lot. In fact, my yoga teacher (a former midwife, who knew I was TTC) guessed I was pregnant before I even missed a period when I went all woozy trying to hold a position. But I usually get it when I stand up or when I've done too much. I wouldn't get it just sitting down...

I get this if I haven't been eating enough protein and other good stuff.

Thanks for all the advice! I've felt fine today but I'm seeing my midwife on Monday anyway so I'll mention it. My blood pressure has been normal apart from once when it was high. I definitely eat enough so I can rule that out, however, I probably don't eat much protein so I'll watch that.

DON'T stand up to quickly, run up the stairs, leap out of bed...I fainted into the arms of a lovely waitress in Newcastle Station on Monday - it was awful, I was all alone and everybody stared. But no wonder: I'd raced round Scotland visiting friends at 24 weeks pregnancy. Now I've had to take a week off work and my god am I going to take it easy. My BP 100/60 and dipping...
Hope you manage to stay more upright!
