Hi, I am not sure if this should be in pregnancy or breast and bottle feeding.

I am 17+6 pg with my second lo. My norks are so uncomfortable and quite painful. It feels like when I got mastitis when bf DD. I cant find any lumps or anything like that though and do not have any flu/cold like symptoms.

I have the feeling that I want to express them just to relieve the pain and uncomfortableness.

Any idea what it could be, or is it just normal painful norks that you get in pg? I never had this when pg with DD.

"I have the feeling that I want to express them just to relieve the pain and uncomfortableness" - Yes I have got exactly this, like a feed is long overdue. I keep expecting to see milk leaking out. Apparently its not uncommon to produce colostrum from 14 weeks and I'm expecting this any moment. They are also absolutely massive. I mean I have stood in the shower looking down at them and LOL!! Also 17 weeks. Actually its a bit better than yesterday so maybe its just a rush of hormones or something and will fade away a bit??

I always had milk even well after I had stopped bf DD. But you are right it does feel like a feed is well overdue.

TBH I think I might get my pump out and washed and sterilized and just do a short express on each, to relieve the uncomfortableness.

Well when I was googling I read that you shouldn't do this as it can induce premature labour. Now, I don't know if this is true but they do say nipple stimulation is one way to get labour started so maybe there is some truth in it.
I know exactly what you mean though. I just don't want to encourage milk this early and start having to use pads now.

How long have you had this for? Perhaps it will ease off in a couple of days on its own.

I also have this problem BUT only in one. I'm getting really worried now as my left one hasn't changed or grown at all but my right one has got huge and I think it's really starting to notice now. Am really worried, do you think this could be normal???

It's been like this for a couple of weeks now. Looks like I will just have to hang on in there, I am hoping it gets better, baby not due till July so quite a way to go yet lol.

hayleybootes, I am not sure if it is normal or not, although I do remember when bf DD that my right boob was always noticeably bigger than my left. My right was also my 'best' boob. Even now my right is slightly bigger.
I would say that if you get any pain or hard patches etc to ask the MW about it, TBH if you are at all worried, ask your MW anyway.
