Breech at 34 weeks, can't have an ECV what are the chances of baby turning naturally?

I've just found out baby is now breeched at 34 weeks. Previously had a C-section so can't have an ECV. Does anybody know the chances of the baby turning naturally? I'm very short and baby not small, I think it turned this week but midwife says if it doesn't turn in the next couple of weeks unlikely to turn at all as it would have run out of room. I can try moxibustion or reflexology I know, although the chaces of a VBAC seem to be rapidly diminishing as other possible problems.

I'm in the same position, 34 weeks and baby still breech. But have spoken to quite a few friends/ collegues who say the same thing happened to them and baby turned naturally before 36 weeks.

I remember one post on here not so long ago from a woman who was discovered to have a 'head down' baby on the operating table at 39+ something wks just before elcs due to breech baby, who was breech just days before... so it does happen!

I posted on this a few weeks ago and someone recommended this site:

Am doing the exercises so hope it all comes along smoothly!

Good luck

I also was told at my appointment this week (33+4) that my baby is breech. I was told not to worry about it as it's still early days.

I'm battling with the hospital at the moment for a water vbac so really don't need the stress of a breech baby to add to the equation!

My baby turned at 39 weeks thanks to some moxibustion (or maybe just because she felt like it - who knows?). Thoroughly recommend it.

I also did all these things even though some of them seem a bit ridiculous.

But my midwife told me at 34 weeks not to worry about the position as there is a good chance of the baby turning at that stage.

my second baby was breech a lot of the way through. during the final months he even went transverse and he stayed sideways across me for two weeks then went breech again i went in to hospital to have him turned by hand - pointless as he wouldn't budge.
at 39+ or near to that i was scheduled for a caesarean went in for a final scan to check the position HE HAD TURNED most everybody said that couldn't happen at that late stage because of space etc but he did and on his own. the only thing i did was try and hang upside down a bit off the bed this was completely insane at that point at the size i was :-)
so my opinion is plenty of time left yet for him to turn.

My DS was breach at 34 weeks but had turned by 36 weeks - he did it himself in the space of an hour or so - a funny feeling! I didn't do anything to encourage it, as i was booked in for a cs for other reasons anyway so it wasn't a concern.

So it is possible...good luck

my first ds was in awkward position at 33 weeks and I managed to turn him by doing the following:
not lounging about on sofas, sitting back in deep chairs etc - sit in upright chairs instead to encourage baby to turn in the extra room your pelvis has in those positions, leaning forwards over beanbags, getting on all fours etc.
Sounds silly I know but it really works because my second ds was breech at 34 weeks and I did all of the above and he also got into proper position nicely before birth. So it can happen! Went on to have natural birth with just gas and air despite having been in similar position to you and being told by doc I might be looking at a c-section. Good luck.

mine turned on their own

dh's bf is acupunturist and was v confident some magic could be worked there around 37 weeks. V high success rate. Its just a movement / massage thing - not actual needles
