Heartburn and gavison

Have heartburn after every little thing I eat. The bottle says after each meal and before bed. It works well when I take it but I need to eat little and often and every little tny snack or drink sets the heartburn off again.

What I want to know is how many times can I take it? Is it safe to keep taking it? I am going through loads of the stuff.

Its the advance one you get on prescription

I did wonder, because I got, and I know you still get, ranitidine in labour if you have hb. Omeprazole is a lifesaver though, greatest stuff ever!

I didn't know you get that in labour. Hadn't even thought about having HB in labour actually! Do you know if all hospitals have it? What about birthing centres?

They just asked me if I had heartburn normally, and when I said yes they gave me some. Wish I'd asked about four months before, lol, would have saved a lot of sleepless nights. No idea if other hospitals/birthing centres provide it, sorry!

I always get really bad heartburn after doing my teeth - any ideas why? It is really annoying as I spend ages brushing then flosing and then mouthwash and then end up taking gavison anyway!
