Would a show float in the toilet or sink?

I'm asking because I've been to the toilet and before anything happened I felt 'something' drop out of my vagina and I know it wasn't my baby .

When I stood up it had gone!

I have been having a lot of shooty pains up inside today and my discharge has increased today quite a bit.

So, would it sink or float?

do you mean you flushed the toilet? if so, it would be flushed away.... If there was nothing there and you hadn't flushed, maybe nothing actually dropped out? a show is not normally completly solid without anything else visible...

I thought that your show was in the sink!
Pain and discharge are good signs. It's unlikely that you'll have one big show and then nothing else - so if any of the discharge is pinkish or brownish then that's a show. A word of warning though, it can be a long time between show and baby - 3 days both times for me.

I don't know Astarte, but before I hide the thread I'd like to propose an experiment.

Go and blow your noses everyone

somehow deposit the proceeds in the bog

see what happens
report back

Watusi · 28/01/2009 18:58

Not really going to hide it if it's you, btw

was just having tea!!!!

I was at the zoo with pg no.3 and was sure I'd just had a massive show or my waters were breaking. DD broke into the leemars(sp?) pen amid all the panic (was only me panicking mind). This does not have anything to do withthe float or sink issue, but it was actually just a, um, volume of discharge. I went into labour a week later.

It would probably aink towards th eU bend I reckon so you are none the wiser unless you can catch some in a tissue... Still, even a show can still mean a bit of a wait!

'citing nevertheless

heehee watusi.

lol at show in the sink. How dexterous do you think I am?

I know when you're trying to conceive that the way to tell if it's fertile CM or semen, is that semen floats, but fertile CM does not.

Something definitely dropped out.

Have checked out archives for last pg (only other experience of a show) and I had a non- blood one 6 days before the actual birth and a full on bloody show 3 days before the actual birth.

I'm going for next Tuesday then!
