I have had some heavy discharge for a couple of days - thick, creamy yellow in colour. I'm about 8+2. is it likely to be thrush - it is a little itchy from time to time but nothing major - or is it something more worrying?

I am seeing my GP on wednesday but wondered if there is something i should be doing now?
TIA

sounds just like thrush - very common in pregnancy and not too much to worry about. they will give you cream. do check with gp before taking anything or in case it's something else.
if discharge is smelling bad though i would call gp tomorrow.

thanks becktay. no, it doesnt smell or anything, just really noticeable! yuk!

Hey! I had this! Not nice but normal. Doc did a swab but nothing came back from it. Just went through hell of a lot of panty liners!!
Hope your ok and good luck with rest of your pregnancy!

Olivo I'm 8+3 today so exactly same as you! Am also getting heavy, creamy discharge! How you feeling otherwise?

olivo · 19/01/2009 16:55

thanks everyone. guess it's just normal then, will mention at dr just in case.
2manychips, i'm swinging between feeling fine and feeling dreadful. worst is at work where no one knows. also, just got a cold which is a pain. how about you?

Keeping the little bouts of nausea at bay by snacking on unhealthy things! sooo tired by 4 p.m. When I worked full time in my first pregnancy and no-one knew, I kept mini cheddars in my pockets to help with the sicky moments! Had 2nd scan today that turned out to be much more re-assuring then the first. Good luck and lots of early nights to you!

good to hear you've had some reassurance 2many. i can't believe i have another few weeks till i get a scan, i'm so anxious.

I highly recommend m and s mint crumbles for the nausea - they're one of the few things i can eat in class without my students noticing!! but now yuo mention mini cheddars....
