Right, got myself one of those gym ball things. Now what do I do with it?

Any ideas? I've tried bouncing around on it but it's a bit of a struggle to stay on.

Found mine really comfy when pregnant.
maybe the ball is too highly inflated? Maybe that is why it is hard to stay on?

At my parentcraft class they suggested kneeling on the floor behind the ball and rolling back & forwards on it while leaning your arms and head on top. (Does that make sense?) I found it really eased backache. They also say it helps get baby into the right position. But I can't seem to manage it any more as it hurts my boobs too much as they are kinda squashed into the ball!

i just sort of sat on mine and bounced around a bit watching tv! do be careful not to roll off though!! xxxx

I find mine to be useful as a footrest.

I bounced on it - a lot. I truely believed it helped to get her engaged. However the first time i used it was after dinner and i was very sick! So use it on an empty stomach

I also used mine right the way through labour. I found that bouncing on it to a rhythmn kept me going through contractions - it eased the pressure in my pelvis.

I used to 'roll' on it iyswim. figure of 8s type stuff. Helped with pelvic pain.

I used to throw mine at the cat when it was annoying me!

I also found mine really useful once the baby was born for gently rocking him back off to sleep through the long dark nights!. He was a bit colicky and we spent many evenings gently bouncing to soothe him.

I agree with the above....light rolling hips around and soft bouncing...great for getting baby in optimum positioning!!

Thanks girls I will have a go tonight. I just feel really stupid trying to stay on it, especially with DP watching and rolling his eyes
