Hi Ralphie,
Sympathies for you regarding the ectopic. I had one last year, had to have surgery and removal of tube to treat it.
I fully understand the rollercoaster ride you are now on. While it is exciting that you are now ready to start trying again, the fear that the same thing will happen again is terrible, Having BTDT, I know how you must feel.
A good thing to remember is that you now know all the signs and symptoms to look out for, sharp stabbing pain, shoulder pain, fainting etc. and to get help immediately if you experience any of these.
As MrsHappy says, they will monitor you closely when you get pg again... but a word of warning that sometimes you may need to push your local EPAU for this. They should take your blood every 48hrs (3 times, starting from when you first get your BFP) to make sure the BHCG levels are doubling. Then you should also get an early scan to ensure it is in the right place.
I was fortunate to fall pg quickly when I started trying again and am due next month. I hope sharing my positive experience helps you to have a more positive outlook also... I (and others on here) are living proof that successful pregnancy after ectopic CAN and DOES happen!
Any more questions, feel free to ask and in the meantime, I wish you all the best... and please keep us informed!
