Has anyone read this book? I quite fancied it but wondered if anyone had anything to say about it before I shell out cash for it!

haven't read it Cala. But did read a very good green parenting book from library. I didn't know about what goes in to the absorbent gel stuff in nappies, or about the parabens/chemical stuff in wipes. I'm converted, have bought cloth nappies and cotton wool for the new arrival...

NB sobloody, if you're using cloth nappies then ditch the cotton wool and use washable wipes (ie cheap flannels wet with water) too - much cheaper and no fluff everywhere, just chuck them in the wash with the nappies.

ta MrsB have cut up old fleece dressing gown, read on here that they make excellent liners and can be wipes too (can be soaked in camomile tea).

nice one
plain water much easier than fannying about with cammomile tea though

if the washing gets on top of you and it all seems too much then buy one pack of pampers and try cloth again when they're finished and you're feeling less knackered

as I was told before dd was born there are no medals for doing it all...

will do Mrs B!
