I wanted a home birth with ds. i had v.easy pregnancy with no problems until i went over and had to be induced. The contractions went from 0 to 60 straight away and after a few hours i had an epidural, I am convinced that because i aws then laid on my back this led to ds moving into difficult position resulting in him being in distress then being rushed off to theatre. I feel that if things had progressed more naturally then i could have coped better. So i am wondering if a home birth is ever possible after a section.

of course it is possible, you might find that your caregivers are less than thrilled at the prospect, but if your c.s was for 'failure to progress' ,something that is not necessarily going to recur, then why not? Daisymoosteiner had a home birth after 2 sections, Kittywise has had 3 homebirth i think after 2 sections too...

what you describe in your first labour is really typical of induciton in a first time mum, the immobility from the epidural can definitely contribute to failure to progress and to your baby not being in the best position for birth

do your research and make an infomred decision about your birth

you might also want to consider a doula or some other support?

and AIMS are good for helping you get your message across to caregivers and the supervisor of MWs too should be able to assit you get the birth you want

Have you come across the homebirth site? There's a whole section on there on home VBACs, and a fair few birth stories as well. The homebirthUK mail group is also very supportive and has women that have had successful VBAC, VBA2C and I think at least one lady with a VBA3C.

Fingers crossed you have a better experience this time round.

just make sure you're within short distance to hospital just in case. If miles from anyway may not be a good idea...
Good luck!!
