Nappy Change Bag - Which is Best??

I am looking to buy one and there are so many out there to choose from!

Please tell me which one you can recommend or not!

I am looking for one which has can be attached by hooks onto pram handle bar. I have a bugaboo cameleon and do not like the bugaboo change bag.

Has anyone used a Pacapod? looks very nice and organised but wonder whether in practice all those compartments are of use at all!

Thanks!

Skip Hop Denim One - I still use it endlessly. Also non girly enough for husbands and partners to wield with pride!

Tried several before I found the skip hop. Love it. Nothing else comes close!

Hiya,

I have had quite a few so I will give you a low down on ones I used / use and like / dislike:

Baby Bjorn - Didn't like as too big before put stuff in and doesn't actually fit that much. Also found it too cumbersome.

Fleurville mothership - Loved but sold on to purchase another - the straps were a fixed length so begun to annoy me...the new models are adjustable I think.

Skip hop dash - Love and still use

Skip hop pronto - Love and still use around the house and quick trips.

Skip hop saddle bag - Love and still use for small trips with just nappies and wipes.

Petunia Pickle botton box bag - My latest purchase and waiting to use with new baby (due any day now)

Mia Bossi Maria - a very expensive purchase but rarely use it as is massive but may start using again when have 2 kids worth of stuff - beautifully made

Little company bags - I have had several and have always been happy with them

AND have also had my fair share of cheap / free ones - the boots freebie one is great if not fussed about it being a designer one.

Hope that helps somewhat, I'm sure I have had more but can't remember.

I love my minki grab and go. Shove all the nappy stuff in (not just for cloth users though I admit the stuff that comes with it is more geared to cloth) and shove under the pushchair or in your bag.

LaTurkey · 05/12/2008 17:04

Boots free one absolutely fine.

lecohen · 05/12/2008 22:12

The one that comes free when you join Boots Parenting club!

I use a sportsbag that I got from JJB for about £6, you know the type, the draw string one that you used to use for swimming at school?
No pockets to remember where everything is so far easier to organise or not.
I did have a big Bruan change bag from Toys r Us, but once it was on handlebars of pushchair, I couldn't stand close enough to keep my back straight as it was too bulky.

Have you joined the Boots parent club? They'll send you some vouchers and when you buy a pack of newborn nappies they give you a free bag, I'm gonna try that this time before I spend anymore money

lispy · 06/12/2008 10:31

I used the excuse to buy a gorgeous large hand bag and used it, now it's just a regular handbag and still gets compliments.

SquidgyBrain · 06/12/2008 10:40

I love my Henna Becca Bag sooooo practical well made and pretty!!

jasper007 · 14/12/2008 00:33

I can highly recommend the Pacapod, see www.pacapod.com.
In practice it is better than it says on the label, the removable pods are simply genius. It is the best bit of baby kit I have bought - and my husband loves it too! (which means no excuses for ducking out of childcare!)

Tapster · 14/12/2008 06:13

Hated my skip hop - black lining meant that everything got lost inside. Also just not wide enought to delve in. I need to ebay it. I have a freebie drawstring bag for nappy stuff and a large handbag. If you breastfeed you just don't need to carry that much stuff I found. Nappy stuff and a change of clothes takes up no space at all.

pootle1803 · 14/12/2008 09:55

Utterly extravagant but have just bought Lin & Leo change bag in raspberry - beautiful...
Got fed up of the boring brown ugly thing that went with pushchair first time round so have bought myself a well deserved present for being pregnant again and looking after 2 year old! Going to be a yummy mummy this time!
The bag then becomes the most beautiful handbag when you're finished with it as a change bag.

A rucksack - the straps can be used to hook it onto the pram.

Bottles can be put in the outside pockes and nappies in the front. Spare clothes in the main section. I found the ones with a water bladder in very useful for storing my G&T for when it all got too much

sorkycake · 14/12/2008 10:28

Get the free boots one, it will hold everything you need.

I also use a gorgeous pink Ollie n Nic flight bag, but I have 3 and another on the way, so need something big.

The flight bag will hold essentials for all 4 kids, the Boots one I will keep additional supplies in the back of the car when we're out.

Actual changing bags are imho a complete waste of time, I too have had my fair share, until it dawned on me, just buy yourself a divine handbag that you can fit most stuff in and would covet even if you didn't have a baby.

So far over the years, I have used a Fendi mama, which will hold one nappy change, wipes, a bottle of milk, cosmetics, keys and money.
A chloe paddington will hold just about anything, including clothes changes and one of those plastic fold up mats.
My ultimate 'changebag' would've been a Luella Giselle, but I wasn't pg at the time and couldn't justify the cost
