Do you think it's possible to get a very faint positive at 2 weeks + 6 days on a First Response test?

The question says it all really!

I had an early scan yesterday at what I thought was 6 weeks + 2 but the pregnancy sac was measuring 5 weeks + 4. So either my dates are out or I had an early missed miscarriage last week. There was a slight bleed within my uterus but the obstetrician sais this could be totally normal or a sign that something had gone wrong.

Looking on the bright side, if my dates were out it would mean that I first tested positive (very faintly) at 2 weeks + 6 - do you think this is at all possible?

I've got to go back for another scan in two weeks when they can definitively say one way or the other what is happening but in the meantime I'm trying to work out whether it is even vaguely worth me hoping things are ok!

Thanks for any help you can give.

I got a bfp this time at 3+3 and went for a scan when i knew i was 7 weeks exactly to be told i was nearer 6 weeks. I knew my dates so was convinced i was going to have a MC, i had a scan at 9+1 by my dates and it was spot on then another scan at 12+3 to be told i was measuring 13 weeks exactly so a week and a half ahead of what they measured me at at my fist scan . I dont think scanning is an exact science, best to take it as a guide i think.

Fingers crossed for a good outcome for you

Thanks Worzsel. I'm definitely a natural optimist/stick my head in the sand (delete as appropriate!) type of person. But it just seemed like it wasn't really possible that everything is ok. Thanks for sharing your story - I know there's no other option than to just wait for the next scan but I just hate not knowing!!!

Thanks.
