Should my baby be changing position more often?

I am 28 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby (first was a caesarean as he was 10 pounds) and I had a scan last week. He is feet down (feels like he is breakdancing on my bladder) and the placenta is low. I feel like he is stuck there and he is also big already - 2.2 pounds. He has been in the same position for ages although he is very active. Should he be changing position more or might the placenta be blocking this? Any advice on how to get him changing a bit more?

Hi,

I'm not medically trained obviously but i have heard that 2nd babies can take longer to turn. I'm 39 weeks with my first and she turned at 29 and i was v surprised she didnt turn back round - she'd kick and punch a lot but never turned round again.

They say that kneeling on all fours for 10 mins a day can help to turn them as they dont like laying feet down when you're in that position. However my midwife said that they dont encourage people to try and help their baby turn till 34 weeks+

Hang in there, you'll probably find he'll do it in his own time and is just being a typical man - awkward!

Good luck!
