Can't help but bumping for you.

It is possible to overdose on any vitamin or mineral, whether 'natural' or synthetic so I wouldn't unless under medical supervision.
Take your supplement with orange juice - vitamin c helps your body absorb iron. Also, no tea around the time you take it - blocks absorption.

10.5 pretty ideal but spatone can't hurt imo.

It's nice in orange juice

I wouldn't think it'd be a risk of OD unless you're already taking iron tabs. Pronatal vit isn't going to have enough in it to conflict I imagine - but check with mw in case.

It won't do any harm for you to take it, and it may well help to get your iron levels higher. It may be that your body is not absorbing the iron from your pronatal vitamins - maybe they're not in such an accessible form?

With my balshy hat on, I'd still say you'd have a pretty good chance of getting to the birthing centre regardless of what your iron levels do - as long as you do some homework and are prepared to be a bit contrary and ask "why" a lot (seriously - "threaten" them with a homebirth and I bet they'll suddenly clear you for the birthing centre with no further problems, even if your Hb is below there notional limit... and from everything I've read the research to say low Hb in isolation = high risk is far from conclusive so challenge them on why its a problem).

That said, I know from experience that its far easier to be balshy when its not my pregnancy I'm being balshy about - if you can get your Hb levels up, or even just make sure they don't go further down, before 36 weeks life will be much easier.

So after all that drivel (sorry ) I'd take the Spatone but do some reading, just in case

my pronatal vits say they have 100% of reccomended daily amount of iron in

My MW recommended Floradix which you can get in health food shops rather than spatone, which I take as well as my pg vit - I am a coeliac though so not very good at absorbing anything most of the time.
