Am 33+5 today,

I've been being sick all day, really violent vomiting, bile stuff.

I haven't kept anything down.

But at 2pm I had an appointment to have a mole removed and still went, i had a local and was fine.

Got home , was still being sick...( today i have thrown up in asda toilet, carpark and my front garden )

but have been having pains, i cant tell whether they are braxton hicks, some are quite sore, then they will be not so sore... then they will quit for 30 mins then start up again.

I don't really want to ring incase they want me to come in, i have nothing ready ,

am having a hicks now, my whole belly is tigtening and my lower tummy (inside) feels tender

you need to ring!

you may have a sickness bug, this will leave you dehydrated = not good for you or baby.

they probably will want you to come in, please get ready.

Call!

hellish · 11/11/2008 17:55

Call, they don't mind, they want to check you are ok

RomanCandleQueen · 11/11/2008 17:56

Pack a bag and ring MW.
It doesn't matter if "nothing is ready".

NorthernLurker · 11/11/2008 17:56

You know you have to ring don't you? It may be nothing but for your sake and the baby get them to check it. You don't need to have stuff with you - worst case you can send your dh, mum, mil or best friend shopping. It's the baby that is your priority so get on the phone!

Nbg · 11/11/2008 17:59

Call them and while your on the phone throw some stuff in a bag.
You don't need alot and what you don't have, the hospital will probably tide you over with something until your dh can get some bits for you.

Better to get checked out IMO.

MrsMattie · 11/11/2008 18:00

I would go to A&E or your local walk in clinic if I were you. Just to be on the safe side.

lljkk · 11/11/2008 18:02

Okay, truth is I wouldn't ring, but I am very laid back. I think you are probably just getting ordinary tummy cramps because of the bug.

That said, the majority view is fine, too, ring if you want, the MWs won't mind. In meantime you MUST get some fluids down. Suck on ice cubes -- you can absorb water into your body just by doing that. And try to have a tiny sip of water every couple minutes, it will get absorbed into your body thru the stomach walls.

artichokes · 11/11/2008 18:02

Ring.
Its probably the stomach bug that is doing the rounds.
However, vomiting can induce labour. It happened to a friend of mine and the doctors told her it was common.
Also you may be dehydrated.
Ring right now.
Get your DH to pack your bag.

Rang and they told me to come in :S

lulumama · 11/11/2008 18:22

definitely go in

it might be the stomach problems have irritated your uterus and triggered some pains and if you are a bit dehydrated from vomiting then that won;t help

hope you are feeling better soon

NorthernLurker · 11/11/2008 18:54

Good Luck - let us know how you get on if possible.

fymandbean · 11/11/2008 19:04

Just in case anyone else reads the thread I think NHS walk in isn't for pregnant women (at least our local one isn't) so check and call midwife if you have a problem (sorry mrs mattie bus was at a walk in on SSunday with my dad and read the T's and c's about 50 times in our 3 hour wait!!)

ButIForgetMyself · 11/11/2008 19:18

I had awful stomach virus for 5 days a couple of weeks ago when I was 30ish weeks. Saw doctor a couple of times, they just sent me away telling me to drink and eat what I could. Anyway, ended up on a drip in the ante-natal ward, being injected in the backside with aniti-sickness stuff just so I could hold water down. I was severely dehydrated from vomiting for two days solid. SO glad I went.

artichokes · 12/11/2008 15:41

Any news?

I hope everything was OK and you are feeling better.

chloemegjess · 12/11/2008 16:10

Hope everything is ok. Drink plenty of fluids but I guess the hospital will tell you everything.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 13/11/2008 09:22

Hiya,

I went in and was admitted

I had to go on a drip and had 4 bags of fluid, Im also on anti-sickness tablets and iron tablets as I'm anemic (sp?)

Still feel pretty awful but am glad to be home now, was on a ward with 3 women in early labour/ being induced, so you can imagone how much sleep I got
