Blood and morning sickness

I have been having morning sickness pretty bad the last couple of weeks. Yesterday my chest started to hurt pretty bad. This morning when I rushed to the toilet to be sick there was more bright red blood than the usualy morning mucus. When I coughed my mouth just had a bright red glob of blood in in about the size of a 5op piece.

Freaking out...what it going on????

pie, I had streaked blood in my sick for a few days when pregnant (nice!). The doctor said it was the violent retching that had burst a blood vessel and it was nothing to worry about. Please go to your gp and talk to him/her about it.

Oh Pie, I had similar symptoms to Enid and was just about to post something reassuring when I saw your latest post. Very much hoping you are OK, but do remember that because you are not there before their eyes, the NHS Direct staff really err on the side of caution.
Let us know how you get on, thinking of you.

Pie, sorry didn't see your msg. Hopefully you are being nicely cared for by now. I had hyperemsia (sp) v badly when I was pg and ruptured my stomach lining with all the retching. This did result in blood when I vomited (for a large part of the pg). It was pretty unpleasant but not a major problem (IYSWIM) and resolved itself within about 24 hours of giving birth. My chest used to hurt with the force of the vomiting. Hope you know what the problem is by now, but try not to worry too much (BTW had this with 2 dds, first was over 8lb, 2nd was over 9lb so obviously didn't do the babies any harm)

Hi everyone.

Just to say thanks for the support. I was addmitted to Queen Charlottes on Friday and had about 10 litres of fluid put through me as mmy body as dehydrated and starving. Lovely suppositries to stop me feeling sick, so hopefully I will not be too bad until the sickness stops. I had torn my oesophagus but that all seems to have healed.

They also decided to take the chance an remove my coil. I'm now 9 weeks. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks 3 years ago and after they removed the coil I had a tiny bid of spotting which has stopped now, so needless to say I'm sitting here feeling terrifed, hoping the consulant wasn't being over confident when he told me everything was going to be fine.

Sorry for spelling and if this doesn't read well. I still feel kinda out of it!!!!

Good to hear you are on the mend Pie, sounds like you've had a rough time. Hope things continue to go well now. You deserve a break - give yourself a bit of pampering

Pie, you poor thing! Hope you are soon feeling better and more confident soon. Was just wondering what had happened to you.
