She knows there is every chance it will move of it's own accord but what top tips are there for encouraging him/her to turn?

TIA.

I was in the same boat i'm 33 weeks and my baby had been in breech right thru until i had scan on monday and now head engaged but thats subject to change, some babies don't move until last minute!! I've heard of some yoga moves that can assist movement if you could attend a local class that may help, good luck.

Try and get hold of a "Breech Birth" by Benna Waites - its a very approachable book and has a chapter on complementery ways to encourage breech babies to turn.

In addition to moxibustion she could try hypnotherapy or a chiropractor skilled in the Webster technique. Some women say doing inversions themselves help (handstands in the swimming pool, or anything with your bum higher than your shoulders that's safe!), sit in a warm bath with some frozen peas on top of the bump, try to attract baby to turn by shining lights, playing music or getting DH to talk near where you want the head to be...

Btw, DD was born as a breech baby at home with IMs - a CS doesn't have to be a given if the baby doesn't turn. I found both the Benna Waites book and "Breech Birth: What are my options" by Jane Evans very informative and felt they gave a much more balanced view of the issues around breech babies than I got from the NHS registrar I saw.
