any idea?

could it be strong braxton hicks? it comes and goes, but only when standing, and is combined with pain in groin as well.

pain is groin has been there ages. is part of spd i think. feels bulgey (sorry! tmi alert), like i have a big vein popping out therem but dh has checked and said it looks fine.

I'm not sure about the pain at the top of the bump as I'm only 35 weeks myself with my first, but I have read that you can get piles in the fanjo area?
I dont know how easy they are to spot tho???
I've got fairly mild SPD and it feels like a shooting pain combined with aching but I know different people have different symptoms.

Re pain in bump, I've started getting a pins and needles feeling at the top of my bump, which I think may be the start of braxton hicks, but its nowhere near taking my breath away - perhaps give the hospital a quick call?

Sounds like a good plan!

no chance baby could be breech at all? Friend of mine whose baby turned out to be breech had pain at top of bump all the time.

misdee · 28/09/2008 18:56

hope not. she was breech for a while but has been head down for 4 weeks now.

sounds like a cue from your bod that you are doing too much misdee! I know you have packing to do, but try to take it as easy as you can.

Are you maybe a bit dehydrated? I ended up being monitored a couple of times last pregnancy due to really strng Braxton Hicks and even the consultant wasn't sure whether it was early labour or not! The very experienced MW told me that I should be drinking about 3litres of water a day as "a thirsty uterus is a painful uterus"

Give the MW a call tomorrow if it's still going on and you're worried

mmmm guess i could've overdone it today as packed up dd3 bedroom, then drove to collect dd1+friends from brownie camp, and was cooking dinner

that sounds really too much doesnt it? dh took dd2+3 out earlier so he could do his final assignment at his mums, so i took advantage of kid free hours.

feet up young lady....and that's an order! We've already had one scare this week with ruthosaurus, we don't need another one!
