Have you got something to tell me?

serenity · 17/09/2008 13:44

My friend got pg five years after her husbands vasectomy........after checks he's been told that it hasn't offically 'failed' The amount of sperm he produces is still low enough that he's counted as infertile, but obviously it only takes one of the little buggers.

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 17/09/2008 13:53

Not sure, MamaG.

5 years?!?!?!?!?!?

Do you think that perhaps it would be a good idea to test, my love?

BlueJellie · 17/09/2008 13:55

Idobelieveinfairies · 17/09/2008 13:55

No argument here BlueJ. Hubby will just laugh at me.

MamaG · 17/09/2008 14:00

OK, keep calm, stay relaxed and see what happens over the next few days. if no period arrives, do a test. And tell me first, either way

don't cry

lulumama · 17/09/2008 14:01

don;t cry

you have had this before haven't you ?

if you are a day or two late, then test

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 17/09/2008 14:01

I am sure it is more psychological than reality. I have no tests anyway.

Would tell you first, after hubby maybe!

No arguments in my friends house either - all the sceptical eyebrow raising was from friends, and all the 'are you sure it's your husbands' type question were from health professionals. Actual DH was very laid back and accepting of the whole thing.

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 17/09/2008 14:05

The constant need for the loo doesn't help either.

lulumama - it is a bit of a habit. I am sure because I so want more kids but I know it is risky for my health. Oh why wouldn't they sterilise me instead!?!?!?!?

lulumama · 17/09/2008 14:05

give it a few days then get cheap test if neccesary

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 17/09/2008 14:22

I'll probably manage to wait until about half nine tomorrow and then be down the shop!

OP posts:
MamaG · 18/09/2008 09:39

Are you OK today notmama?

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 18/09/2008 12:07

Thank you my lovely.

Just late. Again.

Have to focus on hubby saying we can adopt in a few years. I just feel so sad for the babies I lost and the fact it is too dangerous to have any more.

OP posts:
MamaG · 18/09/2008 14:16

If/when you do adopt, I'm sure you will love those babies just as much as if you'd carried them. Pour all your love into the children you have and remember why its not a good idea for you to get pg.

xxx

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 18/09/2008 14:19

I know you are right. I just feel really low today. I had an awful morning with the kids behaviour, I have a headache and people coming for tea tomorrow and my house is a mess and their's is more recently decorated. Mine is a home with young kids but it is tired.

MamaG · 18/09/2008 17:07

Aw we all have days like that don't we. I told SIL once that I was nervous when she came over as her house is so gorgeous - she said she comes to see us, not the house which cheered me up a bit (although she probably noted the dust )
