Yes, I was in contact the week after I found out I was pregnant, in early August. Blood results took 2 weeks to return, and midwife told me on Thursday last week that I am immune.
You have two sets of antibodies they look for IGg (old antibodies) IGm (new within last 4 weeks antibodies):
Basically,
IGg & IGm = Not good. Increased miscarriage risk, serial scans needed fortnightly for fetal hydrops from 4 weeks after exposure until 32 weeks.
IGg, no IGm = good, no risk.
No IGg, no IGm = Ok for now, but at risk if exposed to parvovirus because you have no immunity.
Having said that, the risk of contracting parvovirus in pregnancy is only about 20-40% overall, when you take into account that 60% of women are immune.
Within that, the risk of fetal hydrops is only 3% of women who are infected, which is 0.6%-1.2% of the pregnant population overall.
