what do you mean, what would happen?

head cannot engage if the baby is breech. the head is up at the top of your uterus

do you mean would it make the baby turn or set you off into labour?

have you tried anything to encourage baby to turn?

yes ive been on my hands and knees this week but ive laid off the gym ball this week as just incase its bottom may get engaged into my pelvis!....so im unsure if i do just carry on with the gym ball.

i just dont want to do anything wrong apart from getting on hands and knees iykwim?

having sex would not do anything. though doing doggy style with your bum in the air may help move the baby!

of course i am 33 weeks and prefer to spoon!

have you tried moxibustion to get baby to turn.. it is a herb..mugwort, that you burn near your little toe.. an acupuncturist can also do it for you

biglips · 22/08/2008 12:48

actually i went in to see a acupuncturist today and she said that she is not confident to do anything on pg women

You could also look for a chiropractor skilled in the Webster technique. This starts with the premise that the baby can't turn because of an asymetry with the mother's pelvis or spine, or a muscle spasm caused by an asymetry with the mother's pelvis or spine - so if you remove the asymetry and release any spasm, the muscles in the mother's abdomen should relax and the baby will be able to turn.
If you can't find a chiro (or you're not a chiro fan), a physio or osteopath (specialising in pregnant women ) might also be able to help.

I'm no expert, but aren't there hormones (?) in semen that can help ripen a near-term cervix?
