Should I tell interviewers I'm pregnant??

I have an interview on friday to work at a breakfast/after school club that works on a school term basis, so job doesn't actually start until september. All fine except my first DC's due date is in late march meaning that realistically I'm not going to be there and available to work for the summer term as will be on ML with new baby.

I don't know what to do! I would feel terrible lying about it, even though I know they are not allowed to ask or be prejudiced against me because I am pregnant. I feel like if I get the job and turn up in september with a belly they will feel hard done by and unlikely to be sympathetic/make much effort to make it possible for me to come back after maternity leave.

However if I tell them... they will probably just not give me the job (and say it was for another reason) and have already been unemployed for two months so could really do with the work...

What do I do? Tell or not?

No do not tell. March is a long way off, almost a whole school year!

Also, with first dc it's hard to know when you'll start to show but it might be later than September anyway. My first dc was due at the end of April and people who knew didn't think I showed much until New Year, some people weren't aware for another 5 or 6 weeks after that.

Legally I think you have to tell at 25 weeks.

I had this situation with a new job - was interviewing for 2 university jobs and got offered both.

I could kind of pretend to myself that I wasn't pregnant because it hadn't been officially confirmed (I was 6 weeks!) but actually one of the interviewers guessed and asked my DH (once they'd offered me the job).

It was hard going in a couple of months later and telling them I wouldn't be starting in September (so WAY worse than you - I missed the start of my job).

But I am a good worker (if I say so myself ) so I figure that since then I have "made up for it".
