Fainting and travel sickness...any tips

Hi all,

Am 30 weeks today and have always been a bit prone to fainting although never been travel sick. Now my daily commute is a nightmare of nausea, sweats and today I fainted. Was sitting down and came round fairly swiftly so could of been worse but wondered if anyone had any tips to help make the journey a bit easier.

For extra info, I get the bus and takes me about an hour through central london.

TIA

Can you go in a bit earlier or later and miss the worst of the crowds? My vertigo kicked in really badly when I got pregnant and I found I had to look at still things in straight lines, like upper parts of buildings, to stay upright - if I caught sight of people crossing my path, or those horrible video screens on stations, I stumbled or fell over. On the bus/train I kept my eyes shut as much as possible - needed the sleep but also sunlight flickering through trees made me feel worse.

I got a walking stick to help me balance, but the real benefit was people magically started giving me seats on buses without having to ask! Only about £12 from a local chemist.
