First time mum - where should I get newborn clothes from and when do I get fitted for nursing bras?

Just wondering if any places are better/cheaper than others for newborn stuff. I'm planning to go very cheap as newborn stuff doesn't seem to get used for very long - so asda/sainsburys, and am aware that I should get front opening with poppers at top so baby won't wail at stuff going over its head. Any tips about shrinkage/washability/how many etc gratefully received. And I guess it's ok to wash stuff with Fairy non-bio?

also when do I book to get nursing bras fitted? My boobs really don't seem to have done anything dramatic so far (I'm 26 wks) so am expecting massive growth at the end. And where did you have your fitting done?

Def boot sales/Ebay/NCT nearly new/Freecycle for newborn clothes - theres always loads in immaculate condition, and you get given them anyway.

As DS was early, I went out with him when he was 2 weeks old to actually get measured - DH had to get me some on his own. Best to get measured around 37 weeks, and they have enough stretch to allow for size changes. The Bravado bras are great (and v comfy) as they really do allow for a big change in sizes.

Rather than Debenhams (or any other chain except Bravissimo), I'd go into a little independant shop - the ladies in those are amazing at bra fitting and usually have a great range too. They are much better at looking at your shape and how you fit into a bra.
