Sorry, just not sure... I'm 25 weeks and still wearing underwire bras... someone just told me not to wear them. Why not? Is it dangerous? I've taken it off, of course. If you aren't allowed to wear them, is there an alternative out there that offers the same amount of support? I don't have large breasts (34B) but like them to be "lifted" iykwim!!

You can wear them as long as they fit properly. I shall be wearing them through the whole of this prenancy! The advice you were given is a bit out of date now.

I wore ill-fitting underwired bras throughout last pregnancy and this one. Switched to non-underwired bras for breastfeeding, which made my boobs look like sacks of plop.

I remember the wonderful day I stopped breast feeding and had vaguely sticky out boobs again in an underwired bra.

I wore under-wired bras all the way through both pregnancies, no probs or discomfort.

there's a reasonable maternity t-shirt bra in M+S
underwire not recommended unless very well fitting - thing is your size changes a lot, so it's hard to know if it's fitting well or not
blocked ducts are SO uncomfortable and a nuisance - you really want to avoid them

I am the same with blowsy

ok, mine fit just fine... boobs haven't changed sized at ALL... which I'm a bit disappointed about I'm putting it back on!!

starlight - I thought I'd never want to try non-underwires, but grabbed various M&S maternity bras and despite being 40E (was 36DD/E) their 2 for £20 pack of a black and white non-wired maternity bra are the most comfy things ever!

I swear I don't work for M&S, either. Seem to have recommended them a lot today, but it just happens to be where I buy all my clothes because they're next to Victoria Station.
