Pregnant again and partner has changed his mind about another baby

We have been together 11 years from teenager, we welcomed our first child in 2022, we have been on the fence about another for a few years, I got pregnant last year and decided to terminate as it was not a good time, I had also been taking mounjaro at the time and didn’t know the implications of it on a baby.

hes military, home every night. Start of the year he went on “yubo” for one night and I later found out about it due to a “am I dating the same guy” post on Facebook through a friend. Loads of shit has happened with him childhood trauma, problems with family, no contact with them etc etc. gave him the benefit of the doubt, he got counselling and seemed in a much better place. Recently he had been on the same page as me , if we got pregnant it’s a blessing and meant to be, no taking contraception or tracking ovulation just purely winging it.

so now I am pregnant, 4 weeks. He was over the moon for the first 5 days, and all of a sudden, a total u turn, 100% doesn’t want another, we’re in a bad place, he been away since June working on a qualification then he’s going away for 6 months in sept. I’ll be 6 weeks off being due when he’s back,

he is adamant he doesn’t want to another, told me to have another with someone else, though if I kept he won’t leave a child fatherless and he would stick around.

I really want this baby and am finally in a good place with work, my life & our daughter to go through with it.

hes making out we are in a much worse place then I thought we were and we are going around in circles, me asking why was he so happy, why has he told friends he wants another. Why is he the first to hold our friends babies, why why why…

I don’t want to terminate, he is saying it will ruin our relationship if I keep it.

Prepare to go it totally alone.
And deal with his sh£t.

Keep the baby, get rid of the man.
You don't want someone like this influencing your kids. Especially if he is hardly ever there.
Sounds like your employment is stable. Go it alone and raise them YOUR way.

Yeah of course, especially with a daughter. My mum put it into my head about my daughter growing up and resenting the baby as it “cost” her her daddy, but it’s all his choice.

Believe me, small children don't have the reasoning to think like that. If anything, she will think 'why did mummy not take me away from that man who didn't care about us'.
My mum was a single mum. We did just fine. I had her and my grandparents and friends. I chose my own father figure when I was in my 20s.

If you want the baby alone, keep it.

Get rid of the man either way, he’s a loser.
