Hi, im 20 weeks pregnant after a full term stillbirth. At my anatomy scan everything looked good. I just feel very alone and want to know if there is anyone else that feels the same way as i do. Im feeling this anxiety that i will die. im ashamed to admit it. But it feels very real to me. Anybody felt the same way?

yummyscummymummy01-Thank you!!!! Thank you for making me feel somewhat normal. The anxiety can make a person feel like its so real and realistic. I keep on talking to myself...

Maybe your brain has given you this fear of yourself dying as a way to avoid the even greater fear of losing another baby. Our brains do such convoluted things. Wishing you some peace and a healthy baby

It makes so much sense what you are saying

I went through recurrent miscarriages. For the pregnancy that I finally took to term I was obviously very fearful of losing the baby but in the final trimester I then became very anxious about dying myself. So I think what you are feeling is not unusual.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Like other posters, I really would echo the suggestion of reaching out for support. How you feel is really not surprising - but you don’t need to feel like this - help is out there.

I really do wish you all the very best.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I do have very good friends, but maybe i will reach out for some counseling. I realized the feeling gets worse when im tired. Being pregnant after loss is like being on a roller coaster. so many emotions, so many highs and lows
