Colostrum Harvesting

Did anyone else have trouble harvesting colostrum at 36 weeks pregnant?

I've just started and I'm struggling to get a drop. Any tips to help get it going?

i feel like this is a new gen fad? i have never heard of it before this year, it will come in when it comes in. everyone is different though i guess.

It might be new but it's definitely older than this year, my SIL gave me some of her unused syringes and she was last pregnant in 2022. My midwife did tell me not to worry if I couldn't get any, but I did manage to with her help to show me how to hand express properly and it was useful in the first days. I mentioned it to my colleague whose only child is at university and she thought it was a brilliant idea.
