Gender Blood Test

NaiceGuide · 06/07/2026 21:33

I have just received results from a Gender Blood Test, which is meant to be “99% accurate from 6 weeks”. After doing the test I have realised I was actually 5 week 4 days.

Result came back as girl, would you trust this?

Anyone had similar experience

No I definitely wouldn’t - you need to be definitely 6 weeks otherwise the male hormone won’t have had chance to develop.

Don’t trust it- it could be influenced by your own dna/ hormones.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you want to know the gender this early and not wait for the 15/ 16 weeks mark? No judgement just wondering 😊

They’ve said 7 weeks at mine (was defo accurate), there isn’t the baby’s sex DNA inside your bloodstream yet as it’s too new at 5 weeks.
If there is no Y (male) chromosome in DNA then they will automatically say it’s female. This is because you are female. Sorry but you’ll need to do it again when baby’s DNA is built enough and inside your bloodstream

Just out of being impatient & excitement really 🙈

When really I should be more patient as i’m still none the wiser with it being too early, so not accurate. 🤣

Thanks for replying, yeah I agree I definitely need to retest at a later date for more accuracy.

Who did you do your test with if you don’t mind me asking?

I’d retest at around 8 weeks to be sure and give male dna time to show up. If it still comes back girl then that’s what you’ll have. Good luck
