Positive pregnancy tests before period due after previous losses, when contact GP?

I've had a positive pregnancy test for 7 days in a row, gradually getting darker lines but I am still not due on for 2 days.
I've had 2 losses in the last 2 years and don't want to get my hopes up but while we've been trying, I've never had a positive result before my period was due.

Anyone else had this and when should I contact my doctors?

My GP didn’t need to see me, they told me to self refer to the local midwives team, maybe google to see if it’s the same for you? That was at the 6 week mark. If you want to see a GP relating to the previous losses and taking any medication (I know nothing about this), then I would contact them tomorrow.

I’m sorry for your losses, best of luck 💐

I self referred to the midwives but contacted my gp for a referral to epu to be prescribed progesterone after two losses as I was spotting in my current pregnancy. If you google your local maternity trust there should be an online link to self refer.

Do you have a care plan on place? Had anyone mentioned aspirin and progesterone?

My GP provided both due to a care plan at 4 weeks pregnant. I would message and ask for this prescription. Is they don’t call your EPAU and ask what the protocol is

9 days before your period is due is very very early to be getting a positive test. Do you have a very long luteal phase? I don’t know if GPs can prescribe progesterone or not to be honest. You could try and ask them but most of the times GPs don’t get involved in pregnancy really. You just self refer to maternity. I guess you could try and contact your local EPU but they normally don’t want to know unless you’re over 6 weeks and have bleeding or pain unfortunately.

Ngl, I misspoke, I did mean the whole self referral process but I was thinking about going to my GP for a blood test to get a more reliable result given that it's before I'm due on. I don't want EPU to say they can't see me yet because of how early it is but due to previous losses, I know I'd be able to get a blood test.

Everything varies. My cycle is irregular and I don't always ovulate (also had a salpingectomy last year due to an ectopic).
When I was there last year, my EPU did say that when I next found out I was pregnant, I should contact them so I can get in for earlier scans and monitoring due to the history but I feel like 9 days before my period is too early to contact anyone about it.
I'm understandably apprehensive and constantly paranoid that it might be something else 🙈.

A few of you have said something about progesterone. I'm going to sound like I'm completely uneducated (I probably know, I just don't retain information well) but why would anyone prescribe it? What would it be for 🙈?
And as for a care plan, I've got nothing in place, I never even thought to ask.
