That's when I ovulation

If your periods have not been regular recently (“all over place” as you put it) then you likely didn’t ovulate then. Or you won’t know for sure. You can only really predict ovulation if you have periods that turn up at the same time every month. And even then it can be wrong. And as I said even with timed ovulation you still only have a 25% chance of pregnancy each month. If skipping a period is worrying you, ask the doctor for a pregnancy blood test.

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 17/06/2026 08:59

Will you be smoking around any potential new baby as well as your 5 year old?

Kayleigh2626 · 17/06/2026 09:03

Not really

That’s when an app told you you might ovulate. Doesn’t mean you did (you likely didn’t at all if you’ve skipped your period).

GoodbyeZebedee · 17/06/2026 09:14

Go to the doctor, it’s unusual to
miss a period at your age if you’re not pregnant.

IrisApril · 17/06/2026 09:15

Why is the thread title your name?

I thought we were coming on here to discuss Kayleigh as a name.
I quite like it for what it's worth.

That’s incredibly unkind. How does that help anyone, in any way.

Kayleigh2626 · 17/06/2026 11:35

Codeamber why is it any of your business if I am capable of having children and of course I have custody of my daughter she came from so yeah.

OP posts:
LaMarschallin · 17/06/2026 12:23

Is that an ashtray containing cigarette stubs in the top right corner of your photo of the pregnancy test in your 1st post?
It looks like it might be, which may be one reason for people advising you not to have another child yet and wondering if your 5 year old lives with you.
Also the "lol" in your first post (When could I take this if am 26 days late for my period lol) seems slightly odd - a bit like you're not taking your possible pregnancy seriously.

Kayleigh2626 · 17/06/2026 12:28

It's my boyfriends ashtray not mine and I am serious that my child is in a safe and well place and am also serious about having another child.

Well asking on here for advice in the first place suggests you are looking for people’s opinions. Your responses seem muddled and incoherent and as the PP said your use of “lol” and the presence of an ashtray doesn’t exactly scream “responsible mother TTC”

And it kind of is society’s business if you expect the state to fund your lifestyle choices through benefits or similar….

StrictlyCoffee · 17/06/2026 12:40

Maybe you’ve just skipped a period, it happens. If you’ve done a test and it’s negative it would indeed seem you are not pregnant. Having sex doesn’t guarantee pregnancy.

CousinBette · 17/06/2026 12:42

Are you on universal credit? When Farage gets in, you won’t have any money.

PurpleTurtleMoose · 17/06/2026 12:47

Hey, unfortunately it's unlikely that you're pregnant if you've had a negative test. I'd go to the doctor to see if there's something else delaying your period. I've had it stop before due to stress, and losing weight too quickly (stress again!). Periods can be late for lots of reasons so it would be good to get it checked. X

Your child is not safe and well
if she’s living with a smoker. Is he her
Dad ?

He shouldn't be smoking around your child or a potentially pregnant woman either.
It seems like it must be quite a regular/normal thing around your house as your pregnancy test is practically lying in it.
I still don't understand why asking about the test makes you laugh out loud either.

foreversunshine · 17/06/2026 12:53

Wow the attitudes on this post are appalling. Someone being a smoker does not make them a bad or dangerous parent. I imagine most of you grew up between the 40s to the 90s - were your parents and grandparents monsters - because smoking was sure as hell pretty common back then. You see one corner of something in a photo and assume they are blowing smoke directly in to a childs' face 🙄

The attitudes on here are nothing short of snobbery and ignorance. Not everyone has a great command of written English - it doesn't make them 'less than' . There are many reasons why a 26 year old might need advice about periods and reproduction, so stop acting as though she's not fit to be a mother because of what you perceive to be a silly question.

Do you not know the dangers of living with a smoker? You’re putting your childs health at risk. It’s naive and quite frankly ignorant to pretend that making your child live in a smoke filled home is ok or good parenting.

Smoking is the least important issue here…

This is virtue-signalling bullshit I’m afraid. I’d love another child in addition to my existing daughter but given mine and my husband’s current financial position/looking to move etc and the prohibitive cost of childcare/COL we are having to delay indefinitely.

Feckless attitudes like the OP, posting a disingenuous “lol” post of a pregnancy test next to an ashtray is frankly ignorant and rage-inducing.

Do you work @Kayleigh2626 ? Does your boyfriend?

So you're assumed the OP is poor because

  1. they are a smoker/live with a smoker
and/or
  1. they have poor written English ?

Where has the OP posted that she can't afford her current child, or any others? I don't see that she's mentioned finances even once.

Your family planning choices linked to your income and COL are nothing to do with the OP. It's not virtue signalling to call out blatant discrimination and assumptions based on assumed stereotypes.

God forbid if someones' husband was a smoker and they were dyslexic - to the work house with them all!!
