Husband rolled over on me while sleeping

I’m 12 weeks pregnant. Sometimes my husband would roll over on me in his sleep, at least half of his body sometimes would be on me. I would move when I feel pressure, but I’m still a little worried if that could harm the baby. My husband is about 90kg. Anyone else has experienced the same?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No. Please speak to your midwife about your level of anxiety and get some help.

No harm done.

You will be absolutely fine sweetheart.

Babies are very well protected inside you.

If it would help you feel less anxious put a pillow between you.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 12/06/2026 00:23

He shouldn't roll on you while he's sleeping though. Booting the clumsy fat fuckwit up the arse should quickly send him rolling in the other direction.

Your baby is fine, but he shouldn’t be doing that. Is your bed big enough? If not, it sounds
like it’s time for an upgrade. If it is, try a barrier of pillows in between you. Or throw an elbow his way. Or just plant your feet on his back and shove his inconsiderate arse onto the floor.

Jeez there’s some unnecessary nastiness about the DH here. He’s asleep. It’s no reflection on his character and being horrible about size helps no one.

The pillow between is a good idea OP. There’s even special pregnancy pillows that can be great for comfort as you get bigger so maybe get one now and have it between you. Lots of things may change with sleeping arrangements anyway when the baby comes so start thinking now about alt places he could sleep if it won’t work for you to all be in the same bedroom, at least for the most disruptive periods. But for now, hope a pillow helps. You need your sleep.

The main issue with people rolling onto babies in bed with them is suffocation, and your baby is plugged into you for oxygen at the moment.
