Anyone reduced excess amniotic fluid in a twin pregnancy naturally?

Hi everyone,

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with twins and at my last scan the doctor said one of the twins had a lot of amniotic fluid in its sac, way above the range. There are a few reasons I want to try to lower this, such as increased risk of premature labour etc. My bump is also really big already and I'm starting to get quite bad shortness of breath, presumably due to pressure on my lungs from all that liquid.

I can't see much online about natural ways I can help reduce the amount of fluid in there - apart from eating healthily/less sugar etc, which I will do as I have slipped on that recently. But there is some stuff online about acupuncture potentially being helpful.

Have any other mums got experience with this or any success in improving the situation?

Any tips/experiences really gratefully received!

I had severe polyhydramnios, and there is no way you can do anything naturally about it. Was there any follow up investigation re the cause of the increased fluid?

Thanks @HoppingPavlova! How did you find it -physically and did it affect your birth or your baby?
I have now done a Glucose blood test but nothing else as far as I know! Did you get a lot of monitoring etc?

I had polyhydaminos my glucose test was clear and a detailed scan for cleft lip and palate was as well. When dd was born the mystery was solved she had a double amniotic sac.

I don’t think you can reduce it naturally, I never found a way. Have they found a cause of the extra fluid?
