Subchorionic hematoma

Hi guys, I am currently around 8 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby🥺 Last week I had to have an early scan due to some light spotting and I was told I have a small subchorionic hematoma. They said the baby was fine and there was a healthy heartbeat. Since the appointment, my spotting had stopped for a good few days however, I noticed some spotting again two days ago and now today there was a little bit when wiping. This is causing me so much stress and anxiety so I had to book a private scan for Saturday but I am just expecting the worst😭 Does anyone have any advice or any success stories after being diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma?

I had a large on with dd2 and very heavy bleeding on several occasions that lasted days at a time. I was convinced each time I was miscarrying but I’ve now got a lovely 2 year old! It was extremely stressful, I went in bed rest for a few weeks and prescribed progesterone which helps thicken the womb, could you ask for this if you don’t already have it?

the obstetrician I saw after my last scan did mention I can get progesterone if I wanted, but I wasn’t sure. Do you think this helped you?

Yes, I would definitely take it. It won’t do any harm x

I had a big bleed at 6 weeks pregnant (also after a miscarriage) and was diagnosed with a subchorionic haematoma. I was put on progesterone, had a couple of instances of brown blood after that and by 14 weeks it was gone.

I'm glad to hear you are okay! How was your experience with the progesterone pearled? I was offered this but due to lack of knowledge I didn’t accept at first but I am thinking of asking for these at my gp appointment today.

Yes I had this with the pregnancy after my miscarriage, I think at about 12 weeks. I really thought I'd lost the baby but he's now a fit and healthy 21 year old!

The progesterone made me really nauseous, was very happy to stop it at 14 weeks! They said to keep going with it but I just couldn’t.
