Measuring ahead on scan?

Morning everyone

i had my dating scan a few days ago. Should have been 12w6d and I was 13w5d! Had two private scans before and baby was measuring around 2 days ahead, now seems to have jumped ahead!

does this mean I’m going to have a big baby? Or did anyone else measure ahead and had an average baby? My dd was measuring on track and came out pretty much bang on lol!

Congratulations on your baby.

ultrasounds have a huge margin for error when it comes to sizing babies.

TBH I wouldn’t worry about it.

Aww thank you so much! 🥰

ah I hope so, I’m such a wimp when it comes to pain so I wind myself up 🤦🏽‍♀️

I think there’s a margin for error. I’m pretty sure all babies develop at the same rate initially.
If your baby does end up big it won’t necessarily mean a more difficult birth. My 8 and a half pound baby was a far easier birth than my seven pound one.
